Welcome to the new look Castle on Tamborine website!

We are so excited to see its launch and hope that you love the look of it as much as we do.

It’s been an extremely busy time for us here at the Castle on Tamborine and Lisson Grove over the last twelve months. Mount Tamborine has been more popular than ever since the Covid-19 restrictions lifted. Now with the huge push for Australians to ‘travel at home’, the SE Queensland area – most especially Mount Tamborine and the Gold Coast Hinterland are gaining more interest each week!

The Castle is still the ‘jewel in the crown’ for luxury accommodation on Mount Tamborine. Our unique royal castle wings are simply like nothing else when it comes to privacy, romance and sheer indulgence. A stay at The Castle is simply a must do for anyone who is looking to have a memorable getaway with that special someone and we have been thrilled to welcome so many new visitors as well as our wonderful return guests.

Engagements, honeymoons, elopements, weddings – we’ve had them all at The Castle on Tamborine and we can’t wait to hold more!

Talented designer, lovely host and incredible cook, Cheryl Carmichael has been putting plenty of creativity into her famous two course breakfasts of late and Castle guests have been thrilled with the results.

Inspired by European cuisine, Cheryl has been tempting visitors with her delectable French crepes served with marinated oranges and fresh mascarpone, followed by grilled free range bacon, poached eggs and homemade sour dough. Over Christmas fresh cherries were in season and provided guests with an incredible taste sensation. Needless to say, whatever Cheryl cooks is simply divine!

Lisson Grove Boutique Resort has also been getting attention from Cheryl who updated and renovated some of her beautiful cottages during the 2020 lockdown – guests have been enjoying these for several months now and the feedback is fabulous!

The gardens are thriving from the recent rains and there are lots of autumn and winter bulbs popping their heads up. More on the wonderful gardens in our next blog!
